WSIL — The family of a missing Shawneetown woman says she sought help from authorities just a few days before her disappearance but was ignored.

Thursday marks a month since Chrissy Williams, 39, was last seen. Officials believe she left a gathering in Rosiclare and hasn’t been heard from since.

In the past month, crews have searched for Williams on foot, by car, boat, and plane. Wednesday, her family and friends took a day off the trail to protest at a local police department.
