The body of a missing Naperville man has been found in a remote wilderness area in South Dakota, authorities said.
Jordan Baznik, 23, was reported missing by friends Aug. 7 in the Black Hills town of Keystone, according to Custer County Sheriff Lt. Steve McMillin.
Baznik’s body was found Friday by searchers less than a mile from the Iron Creek trail head in the Black Elk Wilderness area south of Mt. Rushmore, according to a sheriff’s office news release. Baznik’s car was found at the trail head on Tuesday.
No foul play is suspected, and the preliminary cause of death is believed to be hypothermia, according to the release. An autopsy will be performed early this week, McMillin said.
