People disappear for various reasons, many which are beyond their control. By the end of 2013, the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) contained over 84,000 active missing person cases. About 40% of these cases were related to juveniles under 18 years of age. On average, 2,300 people are reported missing every day in the United States.
The goal of this website is to focus on both runaway juveniles and individuals who are missing against their will primarily within the United States. Reasons people go missing include being abducted, incapacitated or injured, a victim of a catastrophe, an intentional runaway or lost and unaware of their surroundings.
This site will provide timely information regarding new missing persons cases and also close the loop on recently solved cases. It will also provide a platform for lesser known cases not necessarily receiving the media attention they deserve. Updates will be provided daily, mainly in the form of this blog and other social media. Our goal is to help locate these missing people by reaching the largest possible audience and introducing the masses to cases they may not be aware of.
I welcome you on this journey and encourage your participation and support. Thank you.
