COVINGTON — Family and friends of Bobby Weaver, who has been missing for more than a year, gathered earlier this month to memorialize his 29th birthday.

The group of loved ones met Monday, Nov. 3, at The Church at Covington located on Ga. Highway 142, near the area where Weaver was last seen on Sept. 5, 2013.

Weaver was reported missing by his grandmother when he did not return home that evening after taking his dog, King, for a walk. Family members have said it would have been out of character for Weaver to have walked off without telling anyone, particularly since by all appearances, he intended to return home, having left his clothes, shoes and other personal items in his room, including money he was going to pay for rent.
