FAIRFIELD, IL (WFIE) – A prayer service was held at the United Methodist Church in Fairfield for family who have missing loved ones.
It was a very emotion time as family members shared memories and talked about how their faith has grown.
Pastor Bennie Tomberlin led Saturday’s community prayer service. Family members joined together including missing 16-year-old Megan Nichols’ family. She has been missing nearly nine months.
“People can gather around different things you know, but the word of God gives us hope especially around Easter we are thinking around the hope we have in and around Christ and we found out about him through his word. These are his promises,” Tomberlin said.
