BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) – The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s office says the body of a missing Baton Rouge woman has been found. Her ex-husband and two others have been arrested in connection with her death, with one wanted by police.

Officials have been searching for 54-year-old Taherah Ghassemi since Saturday, April 11, 2015.

Ghassemi’s body was found in St. Helena on Saturday in a heavily wooded area. Officials confirm that the woman was abducted, shot, and buried.

A month after Elizabeth Elena Laguna-Salgado disappeared while walking from school in downtown Provo to her apartment, her family is getting increasingly desperate to find the young woman.

So far, no trace of the 26-year-old has turned up despite searches by police and scores of volunteers, an offer of a $15,000 reward and pleas for information from Laguna-Salgado’s loved ones and others, including Elizabeth and Ed Smart.

In an email sent Wednesday, the missing woman’s sister, Sara Yazmin Laguna-Salgado, who lives in the family’s hometown of Chiapas, Mexico, said, “Please help us, the situation is killing us, we have so much pain.”

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — The manhunt for a missing woman and her endangered baby is over, Channel 9’s Tim Barber learned.

Jessica McCreery, 21, and her 7-month-old daughter, Penelope Hogarth, were found out of state, sources told Channel 9, but officials have not said where the pair was allegedly hiding.

Body of missing Georgia man found in Haywood County

WAYNESVILLE – A Georgia man missing since Monday was found dead Saturday afternoon in the Crabtree community of northern Haywood County, authorities said.

The body of 46-year-old Douglas Michael Shockley was found by search and rescue workers at 1:42 p.m. about three-fourths of a mile from where his pickup truck was found Thursday, the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office said.

NM – Body found in Sandia Mountains ID’d as missing woman – Las Cruces Sun-News

ALBUQUERQUE >> Authorities say human remains found in the Sandia Mountains on Friday have been identified as a missing woman.

Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Lt. Pete Golden said Saturday that the remains are those of 24-year-old Brittany Johnson and her death appears to be accidental.

The Office of the Medical Investigator has conducted an autopsy but the findings won’t be released for some time.

WI – Missing children discovered in Mexico

Racine County released the following press release Saturday:

“Racine – County Executive Jonathan Delagrave announced that through the extraordinary efforts of federal and local officials and units, three missing children – Damian G. Gasca (2), Diana K. Gasca (8), and Angela S. Gasca (10) – were recovered by Racine County Child Protective Services staff in Mexico and returned safely to Racine on Friday, May 15, 2015.

“The children went missing on February 5, 2015, and were believed to be endangered. They were in the company of their mother, Amanda Ibarra Gasca, and Ivan Ruiz. All attempts to locate the children locally were unsuccessful, and it was suspected that Gasca and Ruiz fled the United States with the three children to escape authorities and warrants issued for Ruiz’s arrest related to child abuse charges.

Missing Boston College Student Found Safe In New York « CBS Boston

BROOKLINE (CBS) – A missing Boston College student has been found safe at his home in New York.

Brookline police said members of the NYPD found at about 11 p.m. that Stephen Ziska had returned to his New York house in what they described as “good health.”

Family members in New York came to the home to stay with Ziska until other relatives could return home from Boston to be with him after making the trip Massachusetts to search earlier this week.
