Hunter finds evidence of missing Littleton, CO woman Sherri Ahlbrandt in Gunnison forest – The Denver Post

Hunters in a remote area of the Gunnison National Forest came across a fanny pack belonging to a Littleton woman who was reported missing in August. A hunter found a pack belonging to Sherri O. Ahlbrandt on Oct. 18 on the west side of Oh Be Joyful Pass in Doughty Basin along Middle Anthracite Creek.

The dark pack contained a cell phone, eye glasses, a hair brush and hair ties, said Billy McMillan, of Glenwood Springs, one of the hunters.

It also contained a small medical kit, including bandages, sun screen and ointment. The pack was found in a rugged, remote area, with steep canyon walls rising above the creek. It was in fairly good shape, McMillan said, but in a spot where it could have come to rest after washing up from the creek.

The phone and an eye-glass case each had a small label attached with Ahlbrandt’s name typed on the labels.
