Missing persons cases not easy

MANSFIELD­ – No law enforcement officer wants to face a family angry at police after a missing persons report ends in tragedy.

North central Ohio police chiefs and sheriffs were asked to talk about departmental protocols for follow-up on reports of missing adults, in the wake of family criticism of Ashland and Huron County law enforcement agencies Tuesday after the bodies of two missing women — Stacey Stanley, 42, and Elizabeth Griffith, 29,— were found in a Covert Court house in Ashland.
