RALEIGH, N.C. — Police said Thursday that a body found in rural Virginia may be that of a Raleigh man who has been missing since last weekend.

Andy Banks, 39, who was last seen Saturday afternoon in the Woodburn Road area near Cameron Village. Friends said he was meeting a potential Craigslist buyer outside a closed K&W Cafeteria about his silver 2011 Range Rover Sport.

Missing Alabama State University student Adam Dowdell Jr. found dead | Montgomery Advertiser

Alabama State University student Adam Dowdell Jr., missing for a week, has been found dead, police said.

Montgomery Police Capt. Saba Coleman said officers are conducting a death investigation after Dowdell’s body was discovered about 2:45 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of Hutchinson Street.

The body found near Loachapoka Thursday morning has been identified as missing Auburn teen Thomas A. Green.

Preliminary postmortem results indicate that Thomas suffered fatal injuries. The details of his injuries are not being released at this time, Lee County Coroner Bill Harris said.

Braylen Noble search: Crews in Ohio find body believed to be missing Toledo toddler | ACTION NEWS JAX

Update 3:45 p.m. EDT Sept. 9: A police spokesman confirmed to the Toledo Blade that a child’s body had been found in a pool at the apartment complex where Braylen was last seen Friday.

The newspaper reported that authorities had previously searched the pool and found no sign of Braylen. Lt. Kelli Lenhardt told WTVG that searchers included the FBI, private search groups, fire and rescue personnel and K-9 units.

An Ocean County man who went missing more than a week ago was found dead inside a car in a grocery store parking lot on Sunday, according to an attorney representing the family.

Second set of remains found on US 97 identified as missing California man | Yakima Herald

A second set of human remains found south of Toppenish in early August has been identified as a California man who went missing with his friend in Yakima County in June 2019.

Jon Joseph Cleary of Huntington Beach, Calif., was 47 when he and Josiah Michael “Jo” Hilderbrand, 25, disappeared sometime on June 7, 2019, as they were heading to a Dead & Company concert at the Gorge Amphitheatre. The car they were traveling in, a 2004 Honda Civic hybrid, was found abandoned and partially burned in an orchard at 8100 Lateral B Road, roughly 8½ miles west of Toppenish.

Human remains are those of man reported missing nearly 3 years ago | al.com

Skeletal remains found in Shelby County more than a week ago have now been identified as a man missing for nearly three years.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday identified the remains as Steve Jerome Vick. The 46-year-old man was last seen in the Summer Hill area of Columbiana on Oct. 29, 2017.

NE – Investigators identify missing Gage County man’s body found near park | 1011 NOW

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A body found north of the Big Blue River near Riverside Park in west Beatrice, has been identified as the man authorities had been searching for since August 15.

Gage County Attorney and Coroner, Roger Harris, said the man found was Robert “Bob” Barton. We’re also told an autopsy was performed on Tuesday.

MN – Body found, not yet identified, in Le Sueur missing person search | Le Sueur County News

Local law enforcement found the body of a deceased male in a wooded area near Henderson Friday night, according to the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office. The body was found as part of a search for missing Le Sueur resident Lucas Pfarr, 37, whose vehicle was found nearby.

At approximately 10:15 p.m., a vehicle, known to be connected to Pfarr, was located on the property of a family member in rural Sibley County, approximately 4 miles south of the city of Henderson. The vehicle was located by a family member in a wooded area on the property. Law enforcement was then notified.
