MONROVIA, CA — A Monrovia man was charged Wednesday with the capital murder of his girlfriend, who disappeared just over a month ago and whose body has not been found.

Robert Anthony Camou, 27, is set to be arraigned Oct. 10 at the Pasadena courthouse in connection with the killing of Amanda Kathleen Custer, whom sheriff’s homicide investigators believe was taken by Camou against her will the morning of July 29.

MONROVIA (CBSLA) — As the sun set in Monrovia Friday evening, a group of people gathered around the fountain at Library Park to light candles at a vigil for Amanda Custer — a woman who has been missing for nearly three weeks.

“She’s somebody that doesn’t deserve to be lost,” Carmen Martinez, the organizer of the event, said.

MONROVIA, Calif. (KABC) — Authorities are asking Mount Baldy-area residents for help locating a Monrovia woman they believe was kidnapped during a domestic violence incident.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says Amanda Kathleen Custer, 31, was kidnapped Monday in the back of a gray Prius sedan, with California license place 8AOR167, in the 600 block of Vaquero Road, Monrovia.
