SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – A family is still searching for answers more than four years after the disappearance of a Springfield woman.

The family of Amanda Ward Romine held a vigil Saturday night in downtown Springfield. Her case has been declared a homicide by investigators, and her body has never been found.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – Dozens of family and friends gathered in downtown Springfield Saturday to remember and celebrate the life of Amanda Ward-Romine.

Investigators say leads in this case have run dry. Romine was first reported missing on July 5th of 2013. She was just 30 years old at the time of her disappearance.

SPRINGFIELD — Springfield police and state investigators searched a home for about six hours on Thursday, looking for evidence related to the disappearance of a local woman who has been missing for nearly two years.

Chief Stephen Moody said police and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation searched the property at 937 Avondale Ave. from about 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for information about Amanda Ward-Romine. Ward-Romine was last seen July 7, 2013, in the 300 block of Buxton Avenue.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – Four billboards are the newest tool working to find a missing Springfield woman.

The national organization CUE Center for Missing Persons launched four billboards in the area to help find Amanda Ward-Romine.

Ward-Romine went missing in July 2013 from Springfield. Her husband was the last person to see her and family members say it is unlike Amanda to not stay in touch.

Lamar Sign Company donated the billboards in four Dayton locations. They were put up Tuesday.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN)– Amanda Romine was reported missing last summer, and family members hold onto memories of July 4, 2013, the last time they saw her alive.

Sister, Aliya Lindsey, said Romine’s disappearance was especially hard after their mother died unexpectedly last August.

“We go straight from burying our mother, out searching for our sister.”
