LA – Family pleads for answers as search for missing Baker mother continues | WAFB

BAKER, LA (WAFB) – A family is crying out for answers more than two weeks after 35-year-old Nahendra Davis vanished. Her mother, Merenda Knox, says it has been tough for them in the last few days.

“It’s like a nightmare and it just feels like I’m just going to wake up and it’s all just going to be a dream,” said Knox.

BAKER, LA (WAFB) – A Baker woman is missing after she was last seen dropping off her two children at her mother’s home, according to the Baker Police Department.

Nahendra Faye Davis, 35, of Baker, was last seen on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at about 4:45 p.m. Police say she dropped off her children at her mother’s home in the Glen Oaks area of Baton Rouge. Davis left the home in her white Dodge Challenger. Her family does not know where she was heading after she left.

A Baker man recently diagnosed with the early stages of dementia is still missing after more than three weeks and multiple days of searches.

Lee Chambers, 67, was last seen in a brown suede jacket and blue jeans on Dec. 11 after he was dropped off at his home at 5404 Myrtle St. in Baker, according to Baker police chief Carl Dunn. Lee’s daughter, Lynn Chambers, lives near her father and reported him missing on Dec. 14 after she noticed his Meals on Wheels food had not been touched.

A 24-year-old man who was reported missing since Friday, was found dead in a ditch on Morvant Road in Baker Wednesday, Baker Police Chief Mike Knaps said.

Quentin Jones, who was described as an developmentally challenged individual with circumstances that did not allow him to communicate very well, was found dead on Wednesday. Jones’ cause of death is unknown at this time but an autopsy is pending, Knaps said.
