JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – The Jacksonville Beach Police Department is asking the public’s help Sunday in finding a missing teenage girl.

Michaela Laflar Robinson, 14, was last seen at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, when she returned home late for curfew, ate dinner then left again in an unknown direction on her bicycle. Michaela has not returned home or been in contact with her mother since then.

MI – Bones of missing pastor found in new Shelby Twp. subdivision | Detroit Free Press

Authorities said skeletal remains found in Macomb County are those of a retired minister who has been missing since 2013.

Shelby Township Deputy Police Chief Mark Coil said the remains discovered in a subdivision under development are those of George Vander Weit, a retired pastor from nearby Rochester.

GILBERTVILLE | Family members of a missing Waterloo teen now know his fate.

But questions remain in the death of 18-year-old Moe Sed, who disappeared in October and was found dead in the Cedar River over the weekend.

On Thursday, Waterloo police confirmed that the remains discovered half a mile upstream from Gilbertville on Sunday were those of the West High School junior. Officials identified the body through dental records.

The last thing Petty Officer 3rd Class Vincent Ferdin told his mother Rena was, “Happy Birthday.” That was on September 17th, the day before the now 20-year-old went missing.

“He called my sister and I separately, we’re twins, to wish us each a happy birthday,” Rena Ferdin remembers. “We didn’t talk about much else but he sounded like his normal, joyful and silly self. Now we’re left shaking our heads at what happened.”
