Missing Ft. Wainwright soldier found dead | KTUU

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – A missing soldier based out of Ft. Wainwright was found dead Saturday afternoon inside his car in a campground south of Fairbanks.

22-year-old Mason Heimer had been missing for nearly a week sparking calls for answers and a large cash reward from his father, Doug Heimer.

The bodies of a Harrisonburg woman and her 12-year-old granddaughter were found in Shenandoah National Park on Thursday after the man accused of abducting them last month agreed to lead police to their bodies.

In exchange, prosecutors agreed not to seek the death penalty against Hareton Jaime Rodriguez-Sariol, who was a police officer in Cuba before immigrating to the U.S. As part of the plea deal, Rodriguez-Sariol also agreed to plead guilty to two counts of first-degree murder. He will spend at least 20 years in prison on each count.

North Olmsted police find body during search for missing man | cleveland.com

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — North Olmsted police found a body in the woods behind the home of a man who has been missing for weeks, police say.

David Scott, 60, was last seen on Aug. 5 dropping off his dog at PetSmart in the Great Northern Plaza for boarding, police say. The dog was supposed to be boarded for a week, but Scott did not return. He was reported missing on Aug. 12.
