TX – Painter: Remains identified as pair who has been missing since October 2015 | Chron

Remains found earlier this year in Midland County have been identified as two young Puerto Ricans who have been missing since October 2015.

The remains are of Ashley Cruz-Rodriguez, 19, and John Iglesia-Alvarez, 20, Midland County Sheriff Gary Painter said Friday. The positive identification was made through DNA, he said.

IL – Body identified as missing mother; man admits to killing her | NBC NEWS

A Chicago man voluntarily surrendered himself into police custody Monday after admitting to killing Joyce Cluchey, 30. Joyce had been missing since May 18.

In a press release, the Chicago Police Department said Cesar Cono-Olvera, 22, has been charged with one count of felony murder in the first degree. The release says Cono-Olvera surrendered just one day after Joyce’s body was found on the same block as his residence.

Body found in San Pedro near search area for missing woman | abc7

SAN PEDRO, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — The body of a woman was found in the water in San Pedro Thursday morning near the same area where crews were searching for a missing 26-year-old woman.

The Los Angeles Police Department said the body was found at 7:43 a.m. in the 1800 block of Paseo del Mar. The coroner’s office has yet to identify the body.

SC – Man, brother charged after burned human remains, believed to be missing woman, found at home | WYFF4

PIEDMONT, S.C. — A 60-year-old Upstate man and his brother are facing multiple charges after burned human remains, believed to be those of a missing woman, were found at the man’s home.

Charles Alexander Dogan, of Oakvale Road in Piedmont, is charged with desecration of human remains, criminal conspiracy and obstruction of justice.
