Remains found behind Ga. home ID’d as long-missing Iraq War vet Chase Massner – CBS News

KENNESAW, Ga. — Remains found under a concrete slab behind a Georgia home Aug. 1 have been positively identified as long-missing Iraq War veteran Chase Massner, reports CBS affiliate WGCL.

The Cobb County medical examiner made the determination based on dental records obtained from the Department of Defense, Cobb police say.

Remains found where veteran went missing in Kennesaw | AJC.com

Cobb County police have found remains in the backyard of a Kennesaw residence where a U.S. Army veteran was last seen in March 2014.

While police don’t know if the remains are human, they confirmed the house at 555 Farmbrook Trail was where Charles Massner went to spend the night with a friend more than three years ago, Cobb spokeswoman Officer Alicia Chilton said.

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) – Police are searching for a man with schizophrenia and depression who has been missing since August from the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

Veon Tinsey, 60, was last seen on Aug. 19 near 85th Street and Harlem Avenue in Bridgeview on his way to receive treatment, according to an alert from Chicago Police.

Heather Olivia, 28, was last seen leaving her family’s Gaskin Road home around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, said Sgt. Jon Seeber, a spokesman of the sheriff’s office. She has depression and is considered endangered, he said.

Skeletal Remains Found Near Missouri Home of Missing Woman « CBS St. Louis

STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. (AP) – (UPDATED 12:48 p.m.) Authorities in eastern Missouri’s Ste. Genevieve County are investigating the discovery of skeletal remains in a rural area where a woman missing since 2014 had lived.

Sheriff Gary Stolzer tells media outlets the remains were found Tuesday night by a hunter, and that the FBI has been called in to assist in the investigation.
