DULUTH, Minn. — The body of a woman missing for over two weeks was found in Lake County on Wednesday.

At about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, the Lake County sheriff’s office located the body of Janeen Bauer Peters, 57, about 500 yards from her vehicle near County Road 2 and south of Minnesota 1.

The American Indian Community Housing Organization (AICHO), is renewing its call for search of a missing Indigenous woman.

Sheila St. Clair of Duluth has been missing since 2015. St. Clair was reported missing September 10th. She was 48 years old at the time of the report.
