HINSDALE, Mass. – A New England woman missing from Hinsdale, Massachusetts for eight weeks has been found dead.

“It is unimaginable,” her stepdaughter, Jennifer Lancaster, said. “You never think something like this will happen to anyone you know, much less, someone in your family. And it is just an everyday heartache.”

A family is reeling after their mother, who was last seen at her sister’s home in Massachusetts, has been missing for nearly a month.

Jackie Coutinho, 53, headed out to her sister Angela’s backyard in Hinsdale on May 15 to look at some birds, her stepdaughter Jessica Bryan told Dateline Monday. Yet just 15 minutes later, when Angela went to check on her, she was nowhere to be found.

Hinsdale Police, family asking for help to find woman missing from the Berkshires for a month | MASS LIVE

HINSDALE — Police and family members are asking help to find a 53-year-old woman who has been missing for nearly a month.

Jacqueline Coutinho was last seen about 10:15 a.m., May 15, on Smith Road. She left her sister’s house to take a walk and has not been seen since, Police Chief Susan Rathbun said on Facebook.
