Remains of missing Illinois man found in pond at north Iowa campground | Des Moines Register

The remains of an Illinois man reported missing in early June were discovered Friday in a pond at the Rock Falls campground where he was last seen, Cerro Gordo County authorities said.

Lawrence Howlett, 48, of Sandwich, Illinois, was staying at Camp at the Woods campground last month when his family reported him missing, Cerro Gordo Sheriff Kevin Pals said last month.
