<VERO BEACH, Fla. — Detectives with the Indian River County Sheriff's office say the search for a missing Vero Beach woman has stretched from the west and east coast of Florida to New Jersey.

Family members continue to make a plea for her safe return.

VERO BEACH — It’s been 53 days since 73-year-old Susy Tomassi went to read a book on the back porch of the Quilted Giraffe — the restaurant at 500 U.S. 1 she owns with her husband — to read a book and disappeared.

Now, Susy Tomassi’s husband, Patrick Tomassi, said he is offering a $15,000 reward for the safe return of his wife.
