A vigil was held Wednesday night in Vallejo to remind people 15-year-old Pearl Pinson is still missing.
Eight months ago to the day, Pinson was kidnapped while walking home from school. The suspected kidnapper, Fernando Castro, was shot and killed by police the next day in the town of Solvang in Santa Barbara County. But there’s been no sign of Pearl.

EPHRATA, Wash. — A Grant County girl last seen in May has been found safe, and the woman who was accused of kidnapping her has been arrested, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office says.
The Sheriff’s Office says U.S. marshals arrested Shirley Jackson of Waterville, Wash., in California. She was wanted on a warrant for first-degree kidnapping warrant.

Remains believed to be those of missing Palmer teen David Grunwald were found Friday afternoon, and a 16-year-old has been charged with his murder and kidnapping, Alaska State Troopers said Saturday.
Alaska State Troopers said Saturday that remains believed to be those of Grunwald were found in the Knik River Road area on Friday afternoon.

The mother of a Fort Worth woman who disappeared five weeks ago says she’s not giving up searching for her – and is asking volunteers to join her.
“I hope we’re able to find her soon and bring her home for the holidays,” said Deborah Johnson Strub, the mother of Typhenie Johnson.

GRANT COUNTY, Wash. – The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 6-year-old girl from Moses Lake who deputies said has been missing since May.
Investigators said Shirley Jackson, 57, of Waterville, is the woman they believe took Angel Jackson, 6, of Moses Lake, back in May. Though they have the same name, deputies stressed the two are not related.

NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Northville Township man is pleading for help in finding his two young daughters after he says his ex-wife failed to return them.
The girls have been missing for 10 days, and the woman is being sought on two federal kidnapping charges.

Detroit police released grainy images of an armed man suspected of kidnapping a 13-year-old boy late Tuesday from the city’s east side.
Deontae Mitchell was last seen by his cousin around 11:15 p.m. outside Nino’s Market at 15901 E. Warren, according to officials. The two rode their bicycles to the market, where they witnessed an intoxicated male drop money while urinating outside the store.

LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4)– Authorities in Loveland continued to search for a missing woman on Friday who may have been kidnapped from a motel.
Witnesses told police they say Mia Hamilton being pulled into a van outside the Budget Host motel on the frontage road near the Larimer County Fairgrounds about 6:30 a.m. Friday.

The mother of a 1-year-old boy who went missing on Thursday when a man took her parked minivan with the boy strapped in a car seat in the back pleaded for his safe return.
Caleb Castro was in a carseat in the minivan when a man jumped in while the boy’s mother was recycling goods at the SA Recycling Center, 1545 Gage Road, in Montebello. He did not know the baby was in the van.
