NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Investigators have confirmed the identity of a Louisiana woman whose body was found after she was reported missing.

New Orleans police say in a news release Wednesday that the DNA was used to identify Jean Stokes, and her death has been ruled a homicide.

St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office investigators believe they have found the bodies of two Pearl River friends who have been missing since Feb. 15.

Officials told WDSU reporter Heath Allen that Sheriff’s Office investigators found the bodies and a vehicle the friends were last seen in.
