Organization Uses Feeding the Homeless as Way to Help Locate Missing Persons | Good4Utah

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) The family of Macin Smith,18, who went missing a year ago from his St.George home, traveled to Salt Lake City last weekend for an event specifically organized to help find him.

The event, #BeeFed #BeeFound, was held at both Liberty and Pioneer Parks and was coordinated by Textwich, a non-profit organization based out of California, who helps find missing loved ones through feeding the homeless.

Macin’s mom Tracey Bratt-Smith, who loves the concept, came to Salt Lake with her husband Darrin and other family members to meet with Textwich founder, Ellen Van Der Bosch and other members of the Textwich team to help with the event.

The search for missing St. George teenager Macin Smith has recently taken a new turn.

A reward of $1,000 is now being offered by his family to anyone who can provide information to help locate Smith.

The reward notice was posted Tuesday on the Red Rock Search and Rescue Facebook page.

17-year-old Macin Smith was last seen the morning of September 1st. His mom told ABC 4 she woke him up for school that morning and he left for the bus. School officials say he never showed up.
