MERRILLVILLE, Ind. (WNDU) – The FBI is offering up to a $10,000 reward for help finding a woman missing from Gary who is thought to have been kidnapped.

The FBI’s Merrillville Resident Agency Gang Response Investigative Team, or GRIT, is asking for the public’s help finding 27-year-old Sidne-Nichole Buchanan, who was last seen at a concert in Tinley Park, Illinois, on Saturday, July 27.

IN – Body found in pond ID’d as missing Munster man | nwitimes.com

MERRILLVILLE — A body found in a retention pond in May has been identified as Francisco Javier Vargas Perez, a 29-year-old Munster resident who was reported missing earlier this year.

DNA testing confirmed Perez’s identity, according to a Lake County coroner office’s news release. The cause and manner of death is accidental drowning, according to the release.

MERRILLVILLE, Ind. (WLS) — A northwest Indiana family is looking for Francisco Vargas Perez, a husband and father who has been missing for more than three months.

Vargas Perez, 29, was last seen in Merrillville on Feb. 7, 2016. His family says it makes no sense. He is known by the nickname “Paco,” and relatives say he seems to have simply vanished leaving his phone and passport behind at his home. He was last seen walking outside his cousin’s house in Merrillville where he was staying for a few days.

Bipolar, schizophrenic woman missing from Gary, IN | Chicago Sun-Times

A bipolar woman who also suffers from schizophrenia has been reported missing from Gary, Ind.

Wilma Taylor-Saunders, 57, walked out of a care facility Monday “under the pretense of going to purchase items,” according to a statement from the Gary Police Department. She does not have her medication with her.
