TX – Investigation into missing Panola County woman’s disappearance ongoing | Longview News-Journal

CARTHAGE — Investigators with the Panola County Sheriff’s Office continue to search for a missing woman months after she called 911 and then disappeared.

Chief Deputy John DePresca said this past week that his office continues to receive leads and tips from the community in the disappearance of Lauren Thompson. Investigators also are trying to search more of the Sabine River area where Thompson was that day, but rain is getting in the way, he said.

“On January 10, at 2:24 in the afternoon, our 911 operator received a call from a female reporting she was in a wooded area and she thought someone was chasing her,” Panola County, Texas Sheriff Kevin Lake told Dateline. “We could hear background noise and it was clear she was running.”

MS – CORONER: Human remains found, believed to be those of missing man | FOX13

Human remains have been found in Panola County. Police are investigating the findings in connection with missing father and business owner, Sanjay Patel.

The Panola County Coroner told FOX13 teeth and bones were found on rural private property off Benton Road in Panola County.
