Remains From Warehouse Confirmed as Missing SF Uber Driver | NBC Los Angeles

Body parts found inside a Hayward warehouse in June 2017 have been confirmed to be those of missing San Francisco Uber driver Piseth Chhay, according to the San Francisco Medical Examiner’s Office.

The San Francisco Police Department Homicide Detail Unit is conducting a homicide investigation for Chhay’s death, and investigators have identified Bob Tang as a suspect. Tang is believed to have fled to the country to Cambodia.

Police are investigating a possible murder after a human remains were found in a warehouse in Hayward over the weekend. On Sunday, workers alerted authorities to the discovery of body parts, bringing both San Francisco Police investigators and canine teams from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Unit to the scene. The dogs alerted them to several body parts, which were carried out in bags by the Medical Examiner’s staff.
