Anna Remains Confirmed as Missing Woman Christina Morris; Mother Places Flowers at Site | NBC DFW

Skeletal remains unearthed Wednesday in a field in Anna have been identified as Christina Morris, a 23-year-old woman presumed dead after being reported missing in August 2014.

Plano Chief of Police Gregory W. Rushin said during a news conference Thursday afternoon that the Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office positively identified the remains as those of Christina Morris.

ANNA, Texas – Law enforcement officials are responding after men clearing brush in rural north Texas Wednesday morning discovered human remains, reports CBS DFW. The remains found in a wooded area in Collin County have not been identified, but they were found in the same area where investigators had previously searched for missing woman Christina Morris, who vanished from a Plano parking garage in 2014 after a night out with friends.

David Tilley, a spokesman for Plano Police, which is investigating the disappearance, tells the station his department is responding.

Plano police searching for missing woman at Arbor Hills | KDFW

PLANO, Texas – Police in Plano have temporarily closed Arbor Hills Nature Preserve to search for a missing woman.

Plano Police Department spokesman David Tilley said 36-year-old Megan Getrum was last heard from Friday evening. A family member said they were talking to her on the phone as she was walking through the park and the phone cut out.

Human remains found along a Plano creek Tuesday have been identified as 47-year-old Christopher David Tennyson, Plano police say.

The department said Wednesday they notified the families of both 23-year-old Christina Morris and Tennyson as a courtesy after a skull and several bones were found Tuesday afternoon near a creek in Jack Carter Park, behind Carlisle Elementary School.

PLANO, Texas –Aug. 30 marked a somber anniversary for the family of missing Texas woman Christina Morris – one year since their daughter disappeared.

Christina Morris, 23, was last seen on surveillance camera footage Aug. 30, 2014 at The Shops at Legacy in Plano with her former classmate Enrique Arochi. On the video, the two people are seen walking into a parking garage.

Arochi, 25, was arrested in December and charged with aggravated kidnapping. He has maintained his innocence in the case. The whereabouts of Morris are still a mystery.
