BPD: Missing McFarland city manager’s vehicle found submerged in Kern River | Bakersfield.com

Kern County law enforcement has found the vehicle last seen being driven by missing former McFarland City Manager John Wooner, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

The vehicle, a silver 2012 Dodge Durango, was found submerged in the Kern River on Saturday, along with the body of an unidentified man.

Kierra Coles, a U.S. Postal Service employee, went missing Oct. 2 after leaving her apartment near 82nd Street and Coles Avenue. At the time, Kierra was three months pregnant and was due to give birth in April.

Man pleads not guilty after foul odor leads to remains of missing mother Savannah Spurlock | courier journal

Human remains that belong to Savannah Spurlock, the Kentucky mother missing since January, were discovered late Wednesday in Garrard County, and one man is in custody, according to authorities.

Kentucky State Police Trooper Robert Purdy said authorities discovered human remains just before midnight Wednesday at a property on Fall Lick Road in Garrard County as part of a “search for information” relating to Spurlock. They confirmed Thursday afternoon the remains belonged to Spurlock.
