The case of missing Clinton teenager, Sam Foley, 17, and his girlfriend, Carolyn Lindsey, 16, of Trumbull got national attention, for the second time, Dec. 9, during the HNL show, “Nancy Grace.”

“I’m always deeply concerned when missing teens are branded ‘runaways’,” said host Nancy Grace through a spokesman. “No one seems to focus on their disappearances. My fear is that while Carolyn Lindsey may have ‘run away,’ initially, as the days drag on I am increasingly concerned for her safety, as are her parents. We plan to stay on this story.”

Virginia State Crime Commission endorses bill for missing person alerts – Fredericksburg.com: News

RICHMOND–In the wake of the tragic disappearance of University of Virginia student Hannah Graham, the Virginia State Crime Commission has endorsed a dozen proposals to improve the state’s ability to respond to missing person cases.

On Tuesday, the commission unanimously supported three recommendations that are expected to be combined into one bill to be considered by the 2015 session of the General Assembly.

Delegate Charniele L. Herring, a Democrat representing Alexandria, volunteered to put forth the bill that would close the gap in the state’s missing persons laws.

MADISON >> When Grove School students Sam Foley and Carolyn Lindsey went missing, the educational community was shocked and concerned, along with the teens’ family and friends.

The College Preparatory Therapeutic Boarding School, founded in 1934 in Madison, has never dealt with any situation like this, according to Executive Director Peter Chorney.

“Grove School strives to be a therapeutic milieu for young people who are experiencing emotional and learning challenges that affect the quality of their lives,” according to the school’s website, (www.groveschool.org).

CT – Missing Conn. teens Carolyn Lindsey & Sam Foley mentioned on ‘The View’ | WTNH

(WTNH) — The case of two Connecticut teenagers who have not been seen for weeks became a topic on ABC’s “The View” Monday.

Connecticut state police issued a Silver Alert in mid-August for Sam Foley, who has special needs. He was spotted on surveillance video getting off a train at the 125th Street station in New York City. Also missing is Carolyn Lindsey of Trumbull. A Silver Alert was issued for her on September 20.

On The View, co-host Rosie O’Donnell spoke about the disappearance of Foley, and Lindsey, who O’Donnell said was a friend of her daughter Chelsea.

CLINTON >> Police Departments from Clinton, Trumbull and New York City, as well as a the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) are all working together to help located Sam Foley, 16, of Clinton and now his girlfriend, Carolyn Lindsey, 16, of Trumbull.

Sam went missing from Clinton on Friday, Aug. 15 and was last seen, via Amtrak surveillance, on the Harlem-125th Street platform in New York City. When Carolyn Lindsey went missing on Saturday, Sept. 20, video surveillance placed her boarding the 2:14 p.m. Bridgeport train and getting off on the Harlem-125th Street platform.
