Siskiyou County sheriff’s deputies are asking the public for help finding a missing woman, the second person reported missing in the county in under a week.

Sheriff Jon Lopey said Katrina Leigh Eblen, 24, was reported missing on Thursday night. She may have been seen early Wednesday morning in Montague, but Lopey said the last official sighting of Eblen was Tuesday at 11 p.m. in Montague.

MCCLOUD, Calif. – Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Department is seeking help to find 86-year-old Theresa Glenn of McCloud.

Glenn was last seen leaving her home on Saturday, April 11 around 3:20 in the afternoon.

Deputies said she intended to walk her dog around the block and left her home with a shepherd mix dog on a green leash.

BIG BEND, Calif. – Shasta County Sheriff’s deputies said remains they found Saturday afternoon are presumed to be those of a missing Belmont man.

87-year-old Paul Merril left his home in Belmont for a trip to Mt. Shasta back on Sept. 3 in his silver Mercedes.

Merrill was last seen at a gas station in McCloud, CA, on Sept. 4.

The car belonging to a missing Belmont man was found hidden in thick brush outside the small town of Burney in Shasta County, police said.

The 1956 Mercedes SL190 owned by 87-year-old Paul Merrill was discovered Thursday, Belmont police said, by a rancher clearing brush off a dirt road on his 500-acre property. The car, which appeared to have been sitting in the brush for some time, also had Merrill’s wallet and car keys in it, police added.

BELMONT — Police in Belmont expanded their search for a missing elderly resident, saying they are “concerned for the welfare” of the man last seen leaving a Siskiyou County gas station Thursday.

Paul Merrill, 87, embarked Sept. 3 on an overnight trip to the Mt. Shasta area, and was reported missing by his family when he did not return the next day, Belmont police Capt. Pat Halleran said. Patrol units from both Belmont and Siskiyou County continue to aggressively search for the man, and a California Highway Patrol helicopter searched for him from above over the weekend.
