Rochester police confirmed on Monday that the body retrieved Sunday evening from the Genesee River was that of a missing 14-year old teen from Rochester who has autism.

Trevyan Rowe, a seventh-grader at School 12, was reported missing Thursday evening, after he failed to return home from school at the end of the day. Trevyan arrived at school, 999 South Ave., about 7:30 a.m. Thursday but left school grounds before entering the building. Surveillance video shows him walking away on South Avenue

The family of a missing Rochester teen, numerous volunteers and police are continuing their search for Trevyan Rowe.

It’s been more than a day since the 14-year-old traveled to School 12 at 999 South Ave., but never entered the building, according to Rochester police. Trevyan did not return home.
